The past week was quite an eventful one, with different groups of people/individuals and I'm super grateful for everyone that has asked me out for a birthday meal/treat, prior to and after the actual day, wished me a happy birthday/sent me a birthday wish, wrote me really sweet letters/cards, gave me an insta dedication/got me balloons, gifts etc :) thank you so much guys!!! I know I've said this umpteen time but I do feel truly blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people :')
The amount of cafés I've visited for the past week is ridiculous hahaha I need to take time off from café food!!!!! (not complaining tho hehe)
Kick started the café hopping/birthday celebrations at The Coastal Settlement on Friday! (11th) I've been wanting to go there for quite some time and I'm glad I did :)) we went there straight after school and it was such a longggggg journey, took us an hour or so to get there (The place is quite inaccessible and you have to walk quite a bit when you reach the nearest bus stop) It started to pour while we were on the way but thankfully the rain stopped when we reached the bus stop so we didn't have to walk under the rain :D yayy
The restaurant has such a lovely atmosphere, with a very vintage/rustic feel to the place and it's a perfect place to unwind after a hectic week of school :-) they have really cool furnishings- Vespa scooters, old stuffs from the 60s and 70s, crystal chandeliers hanging from the low ceiling etc
We ordered truffle fries, Chargrilled Wagyu beef and mushroom pizza, truffle mushroom fettuccine and shared a cup of Chocolate Mint Milkshake :)) wouldn't go into the details of the food because I suck at describing, but you can go google for food reviews, there are plenty out there :D
Ordered deserts despite being super full, nothing too special but still good :)
The prices are relatively steep and it was a treat so thank youuuu :) (if you're reading this)
undeniably a good meal with good company :) we had to rush back to school for ICS night and we were late HAHAHA
It was way beyond my expectations! I was laughing throughout the entire night!!! kudos to ICS! :-) went for supper at McDonalds with some of the ODAC peeps afterwards!
Sat 12/4
Dino & Tjin Yang asked me out for a birthday lunch and they decided to bring me to Penny University :D met up with them at the interchange and they surprised me with a balloon (my first ever balloon) and the most unfortunate thing happened. Right after they handed me the balloon and turned around, the balloon somehow detached from the string and flew away FML I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED :'( they have been holding on to it for the past few hours and nothing happened, but right when I held on to it, this happened HAHAHAHA I was so upset I'm not even kidding!!!!
HAHA what luck I have. We took a straight bus down and easily spotted the café :)
Each of us decided to order a main each and shared the cakes :)
Egg Benedict's with Smoked Salmon on toasts :) yummmm
The cakes were pretty average, or maybe just because we were already quite full HAHA
Left the place for town to meet up with Chia Te and Zhi Yu after their training to catch Captain America :)
Sunday 13/4
Met up with Zhi Yu to have lunch at Eggs & Berries :-)
Nothing special about the food haha I find it kinda overpriced!! After our meal, she led me to the open area and my whole group of friends were there to surprise me!!!!!!!!! :D I was kinda suspecting it already bc she was acting all suspicious HAHAHA but it's ok I still appreciate your efforts :))

IT WAS HUIQI'S BIRTHDAY so blizzard decided to surprise her with some cupcakes + a balloon in the morning :-)
Hope she's pleasantly surprised :)
Met up with Janice after school and we headed down to "to-gather" at bedok for our dinner! :-)
Spent less than $10 there and the food was good :-) I'll definitely go back there!!!
She surprised me with a chocolate lava cake which was so sinful but SUPER DUPER YUMMY, the café started playing "happy birthday" while the lady served the cake hehe :')
The card which she made was so sweet!!!! Ahh she's really one of the nicest seniors I've ever met :') so glad I got to meet her here in VJ!!
OH and wheeee my angel got me Reese's that day!!!!!!! :)))))) so much love for you angel!!
16/4 Thursday- actual day
Received lots of birthday messages/wishes from my friends at midnight which I really really really appreciate a lot ♡♡♡
Got surprised with a slice of cake + balloons from S36 during our break :')
Also got an ice cream treat from my senior angel mortal :))

I honestly wasn't expecting much for my birthday this year because I just entered VJ not long ago but everyone here is so incredibly nice!!!! received so many gifts/cards and I really do love every single one of them :') I had such a great 17th birthday spent in school, thanks guys!!!!!! :) :)

Went back to Dunman for Speech day!!!!!!
always get the "homely" feeling whenever I'm back :)
Ended the day well with Maegan & Jesmond!! Had Sakae Sushi for dinner followed by Matcha Drinks/Desserts at MOF :) thanks for the treat guys!!!!! :)
Had such a good night just chatting and laughing with the both of them :) looking forward to the next time we meet! ;-)
Good Friday
was definitely a good one spent with my dear Rui Xin ;-) she randomly came across this café (Mean bean & Wicked Grind) not too long ago so we decided to make a trip there :-) We alighted at bugis and it started to rain extremely heavily which made it harder to locate the café than it already was. We decided to just chill at tutti frutti while waiting for the rain to become smaller because we were stuck under shelter without an umbrella & we couldn't go anywhere else :-(
Like I said earlier, we had such a hard time locating the café!!!!! Even with the help of google maps (or maybe because we suck at using it HAHAHA)
We finally made it there and the food surely didn't disappoint :)))
I'd definitely go back there some other day!! :) the staff were really friendly which is a bonus :)

I just spent the entire morning on this post and sorry if I missed out a little here and here!! OVERALL, I HAD AN AWESOME POSSUM BIRTHDAY THIS YEAR :')))) THANK YOU TO ALL MY FRIENDS WHO CELEBRATED WITH ME HEHE I LOVE YOU GUYS :') Im really really genuinely happy!!!!! :))))
