Tim Ho Wan

I had a super great day with chia te today! Lots of super funny moments that got us laughing damn loudly in public (opps) HAHAHA we wanted to meet early in the morning at 1030 to swim, (it's early for us because we usually wake up at noon hehe) but we decided not to cause we were lazy!!!

Ended up meeting her at 1pm and we took the train down to plaza singapura to try the highly raved about Tim Ho Wan. There's always an extremely long queue outside Tim Ho Wan but luckily for us, there wasn't a lot of people queuing and we managed to get seats within 5 minutes :-)






Here's what we ordered:




The much heralded 'Baked Bun With BBQ Pork' definitely lived up to all the hype, the first bite already won us both over *.*


I was looking up recommendations online last night and most of 'em recommended this dish as well- 'Congee with Lean Pork, Century Egg and Salted Egg', perfect combination!!!! :)


'Steamed Egg Cake' was one of the 'Big 4 Heavenly Kings' so we decided to order it as well, smelled savory and it definitely was :D


"Pork Dumpling With Shrimp" was nothing special, I'd rather purchase the Siew Mai from the auntie in dunman's school canteen hehe


"Pan fried carrot cake" was also one of the Big 4 Heavenly Kings but we didn't really like it, probably because we were full at that point of time :P


"Vermicelli roll with BBQ pork" was mehhh, nothing too special as well


Ended our meal with 'Mango Pomelo Sago' :-)

we spent around $20 each which is pretty ok considering it to be a satisfying meal :-) Walked around and we decided to head to somerset to do some shopping! I was on a budget so I stopped myself from buying anything :'D walked around town, hoping to find the perfect flannel but I had no luck :-(

Oh and we were at cineleisure when a guy suddenly came up to me and he was like "hi, sorry don't take it the wrong way but I think you're cute so I decided to come up to you, I'm ____ and you are? -shakes hands- is it ok if we talk for 2 minutes?" I was shocked initially but I told him I had to go, so chia and I rushed off hahahaha. Never knew singapore guys would actually do that, that's a first haha!!

Walked around town the entire day and we came to this shop with a super nice fitting room so.......
why not :-)

After a long day of walking, we settled down to have dinner at Toss & Turn at ION and we shared a plate of salad. I hav a slight obsession with Caesar salad nowadays and the one at Coffee Bean is currently my fave!! :) this was good too!


Followed by gelato, got my favourite pistachio while chia had her Rum & Raisin :)


We left town at around 9pm and thankfully, we had seats all the way back because my legs were sooo tired, we walked for approximately 9 hours HAHA. Dino & Tjin Yang happened to be in Tampines so I met up with 'em before heading home :D


had such an amazing day with chia te!!!! <3 haven't gone out with her 1 to 1 for quite some time and I'm glad we managed to do so, can't wait for our next date ;-)
