So we got back our o'level results yesterday and I did unexpectedly well :) I'm extremely happy because all of my efforts finally paid off.
Looking back at my blog posts, I got reminded of the countless times whereby I kept failing to do well and got so demoralized until the point whereby I started to blame myself for being stupid. I'm glad I didn't give up because I managed to reach my goal in the end :) one of my goals for my O's was for my name to appear on the screen and when it did, that moment was probably one of the best moments of my life. All the hard work and sacrifices I made were all worth it.
Please do not take it the wrong way and think that I'm boasting because I'm really not, I just wanted to share with yguys and to my juniors who are taking O'levels this year, please do not give up because as long as you work hard, you'll be able to achieve what you want!
Not sure if anyone knows but I actually got 26 points (L1R5) for my MYE early last year and knowing that O'levels were only months away really freaked me out bc 26 points will get me to no JC. So I decided to (kind of) give up on my social life and decided to focus on my studies and I managed to improve for my prelims, whereby I got a 15 for my L1R5, which still wasn't good enough because it still can't let me get into the JC I want. With the intensive lessons and study sessions and putting in the extra effort, I managed to get a score that I'm really happy with :)
Im not saying that you'll have to give up on your social life in order to score well. My point is that when you put in the effort, it will pay off eventually! :-)
After thinking for the entire night, with the help of my mom & bro, I made my decision to go to a JC that I would have never thought I'd be able to enter. I'm genuinely terrified of the fact that I'll be in a new environment but my mom encouraged me to just give it a go and not let anything else hold me back. I'm still not 100% convinced I'll be able to do it but I'll update about my choice once I submit my JAE choices :-)
With that being said, I'm blessed & thankful to have a group of genuine people around me :-) x
And to those who didn't meet your expectations, don't be too upset! I know it's easier said than done, but just think of it that something good in the future is in plan for you, maybe the route you're about to take will bring you to somewhere even better than you expect :) use it as a stepping stone and work even harder, you never know what the future holds for you, and as long as you make the best out of it, I'm sure it'll get better :)
Able to share how much you got for your O's? And what JC are you planning to go? :-)
